That's No Ordinary Rabbit!
I know it's been a busy month for the members around here: holidays, visitors, moves, that beast called Real Life...|
How's everyone's writing going?
Speaking personally, the Atlantis muse has taken over my brain and isn't letting me write much else.
Haven't really written much. Too much RL angst to work on angsty fic of mine...
Eep! Maybe pick another story on which to work for the time being? Polish a few ideas and feed a few plotbunnies?
The plotbunnies are being pretty quiet...
Last week I suddenly got on this editing kick. So, I've been doing weird ammounts of editing, finding old unposted stuff and trying to make it work. Scary.
Then, I'm also trying to think of what to do for NaNo this year. I think RL may have provided me with a sequel to my 2003 piece.
Oh gosh, yes. NaNo. Haven't even thought about that but really have to start...
Been trying to write a ficathon entry, but the Muse is rebelling. 'course, it prolly doesn't help that I had a House marathon the other weekend. ;)
I know that I get inspiration for writing stories in a fandom when I've been watching episodes of that fandom.
Yeah, I know, normally that works for me too. I know where the story's going, just too bloody tired lately to get up the energy to write anything longer than a few lines. Hopefully my visit to the doc this week will figure out why this is going on! (the tiredness, that is ;)
I finally decided to do the 'post a chapter at a time' thing on ff.net. Figured I could get some "more, more, more, please" feedback to kick me into gear. I'll take the constructive comments posted - because there are some - and rework it before sending to my beta. But right now I'm considering myself beta-less as she's going through a VERY rough time emotionally right now and I don't want to put more on her.
My job is also currently allowing me plenty time to write... unfortunately.
*hugs* Some jobs are like that. Of course, I find that I don't get a lot more written with the whole day available as compared to just a sliver of time.
Re: the beta - is there someone else you could ask to beta for you? I've had to change betas after several of my preferred betas didn't follow me into new fandoms.
And much as I love my friends, I'd rather have a complete stranger pull apart my original fiction.
